The Passion Group includes Passion Pictures, their sister studio in France, Passion Paris, full-service animation studio Strange Beast and award-winning documentary makers Keo Films.

The Challenge

Passion is a group of great companies, doing many different types of productions.

When they are doing Animation and Commercials with one arm of the business, their requirements can be very different to the production of a film or documentary.

‍

Also having a group of companies on different financial systems, and production accounting packages, does mean that there is not one set of consolidated data for reporting across the group.

The Solution

Getting the different companies to use Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and the Just-TV app seemed like the perfect fit. The flexibility of both, giving Passion the ability to capture core finance and production data across all entities, in the same format, with the same goals for consolidation across the group.

It was imperative throughout the project that we flexed Just-TV to work how Passion wanted to work, and this is always an ongoing process as they grow.

Just-TV allows you to create budgets, cost managers and cash flow for every production and allows for full production accounting in a finance system without the need to reconcile data to get your position.

The Outcome

Business Central is in place for most of the entities in the group, with Just-TV being rolled out accordingly. Some great innovations for the animation and commercials teams about to be released.

From a financial perspective Passion can now consolidate across the group where necessary and report accordingly whether that’s financials or production related.

I have been working closely with Matthew and the team for the last few years, working towards getting the Passion group onto Business Central and Just-TV. We have finally achieved our goal on the unscripted side of the business. Throughout that time Creative have supported me through the whole process, trained me, always been on call when I needed them, listened to and took on board my suggestions and always worked with us to improve the product so it works best for our business.
